Yoga is a traditional meditative practice; a physical and mental discipline originating in India over 5,000 years ago. It is used as a form of meditation, a form of alternative medicine and as low-impact physical exercise. Certain components of yoga show promise for non-specific health benefits and some practitioners believe it stimulates the flow of “life energy”. Yoga has been studied as an intervention for many conditions including pain, stress, and depression.
At Core we follow the Hatha discipline of yoga. “Ha-” means “sun” and “-tha” means “moon,” which is commonly translated as the yoga that brings union “of the pairs of opposites.” Hatha yoga concentrates on posture, strength, breath control and relaxation, which work together to purify and unite your mind, body and soul. Mastering postures will strengthen your will and concentration, and will bring health, energy, strength and tone to your body.

Power Yoga - Power flow will link breath to movement using traditional yoga asana to create lots of heat and energize the body.
Hatha Flow - Hatha Flow is a comfortably paced dynamic yoga class that will warm the body with traditional sun salutations and use a range of yoga asana to develop strength and flexibility on and off the mat.
